  1. Good evening.

I just want to ask if I can extend my tourist visa for 30 days? But I have my exit last Sunday in Cambodia. Is it possible to go to Thai’s immigration office to extend another 1 month? Thank you.

    1. You can apply for a visa extension at an immigration office in Thailand if you have a re-entry permit which allows you to enter Thailand again on your current visa. If not, then your visa has already been cancelled when you exited Thailand last Sunday.

We would recommend that before submitting an application, contact the Thai embassy or consulate beforehand to inquire if they are able to assist you with the application.

I am on a normal 30 days visa on arrival by air into Phuket. I got a 30 day extension already for 1,900 THB. I heard I can get another 7 days… Do you know what is the price for this? Any other options? Do border crossings honor a doctors note of advise not to travel to waive the late per day penalty?

    Thank you so much.

    1. You can apply for an extension of stay for the same amount, 1,900THB. Unfortunately, we would not be able to confirm if immigration will accept a letter from your doctor as it depends on the immigration officer who will review your documents.

As for your inquiry regarding travel to Vietnam, kindly contact the Vietnamese embassy for more information.

  16. Good day.

I am a South African who is currently on a 30-day Visa after it was extended for an additional 30 days. I wanted to find out how many times you can extend your visa and if it was possible to extend it 1 more time.

The Immigration office has been closed since last week and I’m really worried because my visa will expire on the 10th May.

    Kind Regards

  17. Good day,

I wonder if you might be able to advise me as I cannot seem to find any information regarding my current situation.

I am South African and flew into Thailand on a Tourist visa on the 17th January. I received an extension from The Thailand immigration for another 30 days until the 15th April but then I flew to Kuala Lumpur on the 23rd March. I have a flight back to Don Mueng Airport on the 15th May and a flight back to South Africa on the 16th May which can be changed but this flight is from Bkk- Suvarnabhumi International Airport. I can possibly change the flights so that they are on the same day.

My worry is will I be allowed to travel from the one Airport to the next for the flight back to South Africa?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you
    Best regards
    Genevieve
