    1. Please be reminded that we, the ThaiImmigration.net, are not the Thai Embassy or Consulate nor we have any connection with the Thai government agencies. This website was created to provide information and assistance to those who want to travel and enter the Kingdom of Thailand.

    1. November 25, 2015 is a regular working day in Thailand and, therefore, the immigration office in Pattaya should be open.

In regard to the requirements, you’ll also need a passport-size photo for the visa extension.

    1. If you are below 50 years of age, you may be able to apply as the dependent of your husband. You will need to provide documents which will show proof of your relationship. As for your child, it is best that you contact the Thai Embassy in your country to confirm his or her visa options.

    1. If this is your first time to apply for the non-immigrant O-A long-stay visa, you will need to lodge your application at the Thai Embassy or Consulate in your country. However, if you have previously applied for this visa and just want to get a one year extension, you may visit the immigration office in Thailand nearest your home address.

    1. Please provide more details as to which office you are referring to so we can advise you properly.

  9. Dear Sir or Madam,

My next 90 day extension of stay is scheduled on 26 Dec 2015, but that is second Christmas Day. Is the immigration office open that day?

    Best regards,

    Alex

    1. The immigration offices in Thailand are only open from Monday to Friday. December 26 falls on a Saturday and therefore they will not be opened. You should try to go there earlier.

  10. Hi!!

I heard that I need documents that someone guarantee my address in Thailand. I want to make a 30-day extension to my 60 days visa. What I need when I make the extension?

    1. If you wish to extend your tourist visa for 30 days, you will just need to provide a passport-size photo, completed application form, your passport and the extension fee of THB 1,900. You can visit any immigration office in Thailand in applying for the extension.

    2. I heard that I need documents that someone guarantee my address in Thailand.
If so, Immigration have application paper?
Sorry my English, I am from Sweden.

    3. Depending on the type of visa that you are applying for, you might be required to show proof of address in Thailand. If you are staying in a house or apartment which is not under your name, then a letter from the owner which certifies and confirms your stay in the place will be needed.

    4. Hi, I’m arrived on Oct 15 and leave on Nov 18th. 4 days over 30 day visa i believe. What are my best options? I read is a penalty of 500bhat a day after second day and 1900 bhat to extend. I coould possible take a flight out of country and back of nessasary as well. Thank you for your time

    5. Depending on your nationality, you may be permitted to stay in Thailand for another 15 days when you go to a land border checkpoint. Another option is you may also apply for an extension to your stay at the immigration office in Thailand.

  11. Hi
We will in Dec go to Thailand for 88 days. We have applied for a 60-day tourist visa and will in Thailand apply for an extension of temporary stay.
    Questions:
    – should the extension be made for 28 or 30 days?
    – is it ok to apply for extension after being 30 days in Thailand?
    – we will stay first in Hua Hin and later in Pattaya. If we apply for the extension in Hua Hin, should our later address in Pattaya be mentioned in the application form?

    1. The extension to a tourist visa may be 7 days, 15 days or 30 days, depending on the nationality of the applicant. You may apply for the extension 45 days after your arrival in Thailand. In regard to your concern on the address, you may use either the one in Hua Hin or Pattaya. The immigration office is not really very particular about the address of the applicant in Thailand if it is only for obtaining an extension.

  12. Hello,

We arrive in Thailand 2 days ago, We travelled thru Poipet/Aran and we got given 15 day visa problem is that we are actually staying 24 days. Thru the forums I read that if you wanna extend a 15-day land visa you only get given 7 days extension for 1900 baht, is this correct? What do we do to extend our visas further?

    1. Depending on your nationality, you may be able to obtain another 15 days by doing visa run or making a trip to a border checkpoint.

  13. I am in Pattaya for 97 days, my tourist visa expires on the 8 December 2015, but will need a further 37 days stay, what are my options as I understand I can apply for the 30 day extension, what about the remaining 7 days?

    1. Your option is to do visa run at a border checkpoint on or before the expiration of your 30 days extension.

  14. Sir, Now I am visiting Singapore then I will visit Malaysia after that I want to visit Thailand & I also have got tourist Visa from embassy. My question is “Is there any immigratimmigrationblem if I come directly pattaya from kualalampur ?” This will be my first visit in thailand.
Actually some one told me that as a first time visitor I can’t go directly to pattaya because of immigration issues. I have to go Bangkok first.

    1. As long as you have a proper visa which you have already applied for prior to your travel, then you may enter Thailand even in Pattaya.

  15. Hi! I have lived here in Pattaya on a retirement visa for ten years with any problems. But now I have Prostate Cancer and had to spend all my money on treatment.

In September I have to renew. But I no longer have the required 800,000 baht in the bank. What can I do?

If I beg the immigration Boss in Pattaya to waiver that amount. Do you think he will do so?

    1. Hi David,

The 800,000 baht security deposit is a requirement, under the Thai immigration law, in order to qualify for the retirement visa. Talking to the immigration in Pattaya for them to waiver the amount is something that we cannot guarantee.

If you do not have this amount of money during the time when you wish to lodge your application, you may also declare your monthly income or pension, of which total amount should be no less than 65,000/ month. Or you can also have the combination of bank account deposit and annual pension, of which total should be at least 800,000 baht when calculated.

  16. I am just read news Bangkok post. They said. They are prepare to make visa 6 months to visitors. I want to know! How to get visas 6 months? Where I have to go for visa? How much fore visa?

    1. This is just a proposal and it has not been approved yet. However, once it is in effect, the visa can only be obtain from the Thai embassy or consulate abroad. You need to contact directly the Thai embassy for more information on how to get this visa.

  17. Dear Sir,

    1. How do I renew the Non Immigrant Visa expiring on end september 2015?

    2. What are the condition before can renew?

    3. Do we need to pay any fees?

Thanking you in advance and hope to get your reply soon.

    Regards
    sonny

    1. If your non-immigrant O visa was issued by a Thai embassy, you can renew it at the same Thai embassy or Thai embassy abroad. The requirements and fees are the same as the previous application. If your non-immigrant O visa, you wish to extend inside Thailand, the documents and fees will depend whether you will extend it for retirement, dependent visa, or marriage visa.

I am looking to extend my non o marriage visa. I am within my last 30 days of the current visa. Can you tell me what documents I will need to show? I already have my letter of finance from the British Embassy received this week. I have both parts of my marriage certificates and also, my 2 children’s birth certificates, apart from a drawn map of house location, photos of me, family etc at home. Is there anything else that they require?

    Regards

    1. It is best that you check with the immigration office on what sort of documents they’ll require from you for your marriage visa application. You may also leave your email address and phone number and we will have a Thai visa specialist contact you in this regard.
